A network of public trails built on the perimeter of active farmland
In 2020, the team and I at Greig Farm broke about four miles of trails around
the perimeter of the farm. The goal was to give the local community more access
to the farm during the COVID lockdown. The trails were built around the
perimeter of active farmland, converting what is otherwise unused space into
public trails. Five years later, I'm working to expand those trails into
neighboring farms. The Hudson Valley has a rich agricultural history that has
long been in conflict with a growing population. The Farm Trails aims to support
local agriculture by inviting the public to walk the land.
